School House Frock 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
A 1930s styled dress for 18″ dolls from Fashioned by Rebecca. This dress has princess seams in the front and an inverted pleat in the back. The sleeves are gathered and long, closing at the wrist with snaps or hook and loop tape. Six mini buttons sewn up the front complete the look! Front closes with snaps or hook and loop tape.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18″ dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Fabrics: lightweight to medium weight woven fabric such as cotton, cotton blends, linen, silk
Supplies Needed:
- 1/2 yard fabric
- 10″ x 15″ scrap piece of contrast fabric for collar and sleeve cuffs
- 6 mini buttons (1/4″ diameter)
- 6 small snaps (size 4/0) OR 8″ of thin hook and loop tape (important that tape is thin!)
- pinking shears
- iron and pressing tools
- hand sewing needle
- matching thread
