Wrap & Tie Halter Dress and Top 14-14.5″ Doll Clothes Pattern
This is an easy-to-make halter dress or top that wraps around your doll and ties. With two style options and three lengths, your doll can be dressed for any warm weather occasion. This pattern can be made casual or formal, depending on the fabric chosen. And the wrap-and-tie style ensures a good fit while eliminating the need for zippers, snaps, or hook and loop closures. This versatile pattern is sure to become one of your favorites, as it is a perfect blank canvas for all your design ideas!
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 14-14.5” Dolls such as Hearts For Hearts Girls® and WellieWishers™. It is also available at Pixie Faire for 18″ dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics. Knits are not suitable .
Supplies Needed:
Option 1 (Simple construction)
Peplum top – Fabric remnant measuring 6 inches by 26 inches
Short Dress – Fabric remnant measuring 7 inches by 26 inches
Long Dress – Fabric remnant measuring 11 inches by 26 inches
Option 2 (Reversible construction)
Peplum top – Fabric remnants measuring 3 inches by 26 inches in each of two coordinating prints and remnant of one solid fabric measuring at least 1 inch by 28 inches
Short Dress – Fabric remnants measuring 5 inches by 26 inches in each of two coordinating prints and remnant of one solid fabric measuring at least 1 inch by 28 inches
Long Dress – Fabric remnants measuring 8½ inches by 26 inches in each of two coordinating prints and remnant of one solid fabric measuring at least 1 inch by 28 inches
