Description
Aviator Doll 23 inch Cloth Doll Pattern
This pattern, from My Sunshine Dolls, was inspired by two incredible female pioneers in aviation, Amelia Earhart and Bessie Coleman. Pattern includes full-color photographs and step-by-step directions to make this adorable 23-inch cloth aviator doll wearing an aviator jacket and lace-up boots. It also includes removable aviator pants, hat, goggles and scarf. Jacket, boots, hat and goggles look best using a faux leather or faux suede fabric, making it look more realistic. Sewing with faux leather can be tricky, so I recommend using a leather roller presser foot and lengthening the stitches. Variations are given for the fur collar or the faux leather collar.
This pattern is the first in a series of Women in History patterns that celebrate the strong, brave women who have been inspirations to all women. I hope that these dolls will inspire young girls everywhere to go for what they want!
