Catching Z’s 14.5″ Doll Clothes Pattern
Looking for a pajamas or nightgown pattern for your girls that is cool in the summer and warm in the winter and comfy in between? Well, you found it!
Add her choice of lace or ruffles or bows – or all of them – to make your WellieWishers™ feel like little princesses.
All of these pieces stitch up easily and quickly, so you can make her pajamas (or nightgowns) in each of her favorite colors.
Elastic straps make them easy to pull on – no hook and loop tape here. And, if you wish, you can make it all from upcycled t-shirts – like the ones you can purchase at craft stores on sale for $5 or less. Get the XL shirts so that you have as much fabric as possible.
This PDF pattern is designed to fit 14.5 dolls such as WellieWishers™, and is also available on Pixie Faire sized to fit 18″ dolls such as American Girl as well as 6″ mini dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: lightweight knit fabric (cotton, poly/cotton, jersey; an upcycled t-shirt is perfect)
Supplies Needed:
Pajama bottoms
Short – 1/8 yd. lightweight 2-way knit fabric (cotton, poly/cotton, jersey; an upcycled t-shirt is perfect)
– 6.25” foldover elastic for waist
– (2) 8.5” flat lace for hems on bottoms (optional)
Long – 1/4 yd. lightweight 2-way knit fabric (cotton, poly/cotton, jersey; an upcycled t-shirt is perfect)
– 6.25” foldover elastic for waist
– (2) 8.5” flat lace for hems on bottoms (optional)
Pajamas top/nightgown
Top – 1/4 yd. lightweight 2-way knit fabric (cotton, poly/cotton, jersey; an upcycled t-shirt is perfect)
Nightgown – (2) 8.5” x 9” pieces or 1/2 yd. lightweight 2-way knit fabric (cotton, poly/cotton, jersey; an upcycled t-shirt is perfect)
(2) 3” elastic (1/4”) for neck front and back
(2) 17.5” foldover elastic for top arms/straps
(2) 5.5” flat lace for neck (optional)
Headband
1 3/4” x 17” lightweight 2-way knit fabric (cotton, poly/cotton, jersey; an upcyled t-shirt is perfect)
