Chilly Day Sherpa Coat And Boots 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
This Sherpa coat is a cozy, casual and fun jacket for a chilly day. It can be made in two lengths. View A has a collar and View B has a hood. Both views have pieced fronts and backs. View A has a yoke with a straight edge, and View B has a curved yoke. This coat looks best when made from a faux suede fabric with a fleece underside as this reversible fabric creates it’s own effortless cozy ‘lining’. Special techniques for sewing the seams together are included in this PDF pattern.
The Sherpa boots have a roll down cuff. The outside seam is sewn so that the fur shows, and the soles are made of felt.
Recommended Fabrics: Faux suede with a fleece underside and wool felt for soles of boots
Supplies Needed:
View A Jacket and Boots:
-1/4 yard of faux suede with a fleece underside.
View B Jacket and Boots:
-3/8 yard of faux suede with a fleece underside.
-1/4 yard (if you are doing only the jacket)
Sherpa Boots Fabric:
-1/8 yard of faux suede with a fleece underside.
-4″x8″ Felt Scrap, 100% wool recommended
Notions (Both Views):
-Thread
-Three ½” beads (for buttons)
-21” leather lacing (for front closure) or cotton cording
