La Vie en Rose 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
Your 18-inch doll will look beautiful when wearing this elegant, fully lined chiffon Evening Dress from Little Miss Muffett. The Dress, which features an off-the-shoulder ruffled neckline and satin ribbon tie shoulder straps, has a gathered circular skirt and closes at Center Back with hook & loop tape. To finish the Dress, a long dangly satin ribbon is tied in a bow around the waist.
This fairly easy intermediate PDF pattern, by Little Miss Muffett, is designed to fit 18-inch soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®.
Suggested Fabrics: Medium Weight Chiffon for the Dress, Pongee for the Dress Lining and fine Sparkle Tulle or Sparkle Net for the Neckline Ruffle.
Fabric Used in Main Pattern Examples: Medium Weight Chiffon was used for the Dress, Pongee for the Dress Lining, fine Sparkle Tulle for the Pink Dress Ruffle and Sparkle Net for the Blue Dress Ruffle.

- Dress Lining : Pongee or Suitable Lining Fabric – 20” x 40”
- Dress Ruffle : Fine Sparkle Tulle or Sparkle Net – 6” x 36”
Notions:
- Fusible Interfacing : 36” x 3 ½”
- Ribbon for Shoulder Straps : 26” x ¼” wide
- Ribbon for Waist : 36” x ¼” wide
- Hook & Loop Tape for Center Back Opening : 3” x 3/8” wide
- Lightweight Tear Away Stabilizer for Chiffon Skirt Hem (Optional) : 10” x 10” or as needed
Matching Thread, Erasable Marking Pen, Clear Tape, Teflon™ Sheet, Point Turner, Curved Embroidery Scissors, Fray Check® or similar, general sewing supplies.
A Universal Sewing Needle – 75/11; a General Purpose Foot, a ¼” Foot and a Rolled Hem Foot (Optional) are used throughout the sewing process.
