Layered In Lace 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
What 18-inch doll doesn’t need a simple party dress that is perfect any time of the year? This doll clothes pattern, by Just 4 Us Dolls, provides a sophisticated look that is easily accomplished by sewing gathered eyelet lace on to a single piece of woven fabric. The single back seam brings the dress together and closes with hook and loop tape or sew on snaps. The shoulder straps shown are 1/4” wide with your choice of placement and front decoration that will make this look uniquely your own.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18” dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Fabrics: The dress liner should be 100% lightweight cotton or cotton/poly blend. The eyelet lace is lightly gathered and 2-5/8” wide.
Supplies Needed:
- 10” x 20” white lightweight cotton or cotton/poly fabric (white)-knee length
- 12” x 20” white lightweight cotton or cotton/poly fabric (white)-maxi length
- 2-5/8” white eyelet lace: 1 3/4 yards for knee length or 3 1/4 yards for maxi
- Extra wide double fold bias tape, white: 25 inches
- 1/4” wide white satin ribbon or other trim for shoulder straps: 13 inches
- Hook & loop tape (optional): 6 inches
- Sew on snaps (optional): 3
- Accessories: Buttons, prepared decorative flowers, bows, etc.
