Old School Backpack 18″ Doll Accessories Pattern
The Old School Backpack is functional and trendy whether going to school, dance class, sleep overs or just looking awesome. It features a ton of options that are only limited by your imagination. The PDF sewing pattern features three pocket options: a zipper pocket, simple pocket, pocket with a flap; or keep it simple, and leave the pocket off. You have the choice of a trimmed or untrimmed main flap, a plastic buckle option with the zipper pocket or a buckle with leather/vinyl stop for all options.

Recommended Fabrics: Body: Medium-weight cotton, denim, twill, quilting cottons, flannel and batiks. Lining: Quilting cottons and broadcloth. Leather/Vinyl Trim: Choose lighter weight vinyls with some stretch. Lighter weight bonded leathers work well too.

• 10” x 10” leather/vinyl OR contrasting fabric
• ⅜”- ½” wide buckle (optional)
• ⅛” grommets (optional)
• 6” or longer lightweight zipper (optional)
Untrimmed Back Pack with Plastic Buckle
• ¼ yard for main fabric
• ⅛ yard for lining
• ⅛ yard medium/heavy fusible interfacing
• 28” x ⅜” twill tape or grosgrain ribbon
• ⅜”- ½” wide plastic clip buckle
• 6” or longer lightweight zipper

• Sewing machine needle suitable for fabric/vinyl
• ¼” foot or zipper foot
• Rotary cutter and mat (optional)
• Pinking shears (suggested)
• Thread
• Leather punch
• ½” bias tape maker (suggested)
