Pretty Pleats 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
The Pretty Pleats dress is a Classic Style with a modern twist your 18 inch doll is sure to love!
The bodice front has two little pockets and a faux button placket with four decorative buttons going down the center front. The bodice is lined. The skirt of the dress is circular and pleated all around.
The belt is a separate piece with a slide buckle. It closes in the back with an invisible zipper.
This PDF sewing pattern from Fashioned by Rebecca, is designed to fit 18″ dolls such as American Girl®. Please note that this dress was designed to fit the newer American Girl® dolls and will not properly fit the older and plumper dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: lightweight to medium weight cotton

- 1/2 yard fabric
- 10″ x 10″ scrap piece of fabric for bodice lining
- 7″-9″ invisible zipper
- ribbon buckle with 1/2″ slide
- four 1/4″ decorative buttons
- Iron and pressing tools
- hand sewing needle
- matching thread
- seam sealant
- zipper foot
