Description
1850’s Girls Dress 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
Make your own pretty 1850’s style dress with this doll clothes pattern featuring two bodice options: A trimmed edged vest overlay that extends down over the top of the skirting or double front trimmed edge panels. Add a single ribbon bow to sit center front neckline. Short sleeves were typical early 1850’s fashion for young girls and this pattern provides an option for either single or double layered sleeves. The gown features double skirting with a finished skirt length of approximately 7 1/2″ or mid-calf. The over-skirt has a trimmed scalloped shaped hemline. Lace, bias or piping can be used as edging. The back fastens with three buttons or snaps closures and side ties form a pretty bow at the back and allows for adjusting fit as the newer dolls tend to have much smaller waistlines than some of their predecessors.
This is a relatively easy intermediate pattern, by Keepers Dolly Duds, and a great choice for someone with limited sewing experience.
