Athena 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
Inspired by the Greek Goddess Athena, this PDF pattern, by Little Miss Muffett, is the first in a series of beautiful flowing dresses and evening gowns. Satin combined with the light crispness of Voile create the ‘Athena’, while crushed Taffeta and Organza give the Evening Gown panache. The ruched bodice on this empire line-styled gown is beautifully fitted and lined, so whether she chooses the graceful elegance of the Athena Peplos or the stylish simplicity of the Evening Gown, your doll is sure to be the belle of the ball.
Supplies Needed:
Athena:
-20 x 20 inches heavy bridal Satin
-1 Yard Voile
-15 x 4 inches Cotton in a color similar to Satin
Notions:
-15 x 4 inches Lightweight Embroidery Stabilizer
-¾” (outer measurement) round or square ‘jewelled’ buckle
-36 x 3/8 inches wide Satin Ribbon to match or contrast Satin
-6 x 3/8 inches wide hook and loop tape
-1 x clear sew on snap ¼” diameter
Evening Gown:
-20 x 20 inches Taffeta
-30 x 4 inches Organza
-15 x 4 inches Cotton in a color similar to Taffeta
Notions:
-15 x 4 inches Lightweight Embroidery Stabilizer
-36 x ¼” inches wide Satin Ribbon trim
-6 x 3/8 inches wide hook and loop tape
-¾” (outer measurement) round or square decorative button
General:
-Matching thread, Air Erasable Pen, curved embroidery scissors (optional), piece of paper, general sewing supplies.
