Summer’s coming! And you know what that means – epic slumber parties!
Get your mini “girls” ready with these cool, soft pajamas with pretty lace or ribbon or flowers – or all three! They’re perfect for pillow fights and dance contests and eating pizza and popcorn – and, of course, sleeping!
Make the straps from ribbon for a girly look or make them from elastic so that the little top goes on and off without untying the bows – or, if you prefer, make a standard opening in the back with hook and loop tape.
These pajamas for minis are quick, they’re easy, and they’re made from scraps. A matching pajama pattern for their 18” sisters is sold separately. What could be better than that?
Recommended Fabrics: lightweight knit fabric (cotton, poly/cotton, jersey; an upcycled t-shirt is perfect)
Supplies Needed:
Scraps lightweight knit fabric (cotton, poly/cotton, jersey; an upcyled t-shirt is perfect)
Lining for top – (2) 4” x 3.75” square of netting, anything but white. It will not show on your finished garment, but it is very helpful if it is not white so that you can see it easily. (I like to use the kind that comes on a spool.)
-4.75” foldover elastic for waist
-24” of 1/8” elastic or 1/8” ribbon for straps
-(2) 2″ thin 1/4″ wide hook and loop tape
-4.25” flat lace for neck front; 8.5” for front and back (optional)
-8” lace at hems on bottoms (optional)
