Description
Central Park, 1904 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
”Central Park, 1904″, by Flossie Potter, is a dress that might have been worn by a well-to-do little girl as she rode in the family’s elegant carriage along Central Park’s driving park or strolled its promenade with her mama and papa.
The style of the dress is reminiscent of the early 1900s with its slightly dropped waistline, straight long sleeves, and pleated skirt which falls just below the knees.
The featured design element is the dress’s front and back overlays that begin from the shoulder and end with vertical, pointed “straps.” The overlays support a ribbon “belt” that ties in the back.
The angled front neckline with overlapping front bodice pieces creates the illusion that the dress can be opened in front, but it actually closes in the back.
This one-size PDF sewing pattern was created to accommodate both modern 18″ dolls such as American Girl(R) as well as their vintage dolls. The 45-page pattern contains 25 pages of instruction with full-color photo assembly illustrations, 6 pages of summary instructions (to save on printer ink!) and 9 pages of pattern pieces.
So hurry and get started on creating your own “Central Park, 1904” heirloom!
