Dragon and Dinosaur Cape 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
Does your doll love fantasy play! With this PDF pattern you can create a Dragon or Dinosaur hooded cape.
The cape has elastic ties that go over the doll’s shoulders and wrists for easy dressing and also gives movement during play. The cape is finished with applique shapes on the wings and tail to provide character, as well as spikes down the back. Applique instructions are included. The cape is fully lined.
There are two cape options included. The Dragon has pointed wings and spikes and a heart shape tail whereas the Dinosaur is rounded with round spikes and a club shaped tail.

This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18″ dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Fabrics: Light to Medium weight woven fabrics – Cotton or quilter’s cotton For Appliqué — Felt or Medium weight woven fabrics — Cotton, quilter’s cotton.

- Lining — 16” x 20”
- Felt/Fabric Dragon Wing & Tail Appliqué — 7.5” x 19.5”
- Felt/Fabric Dinosaur Wing & Tail Appliqué — 4” x 21”
- Felt for Spikes (single layer) — 5” x 6”
- OR Fabric for Spikes (double layer) — 8” x 11.5”
- Fusible web or Appliqué paper — 9” x 18”
- 1/4” Wide Elastic — 14.5”
- Matching thread
- Knitting needle or long skewer stick
- Scissor, big or small, with sharp point
- Marking pen or pencil
- Iron and ironing board
