Hollyhock Dress 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
This interesting dress combines a peasant style upper section with a fit and flare skirt section with really cute results! This Empire style dress closes with hook and loop tape and a snap. This dress has an elastic neckline and sleeves.
The Hollyhock Dress can be made with one, two, or three different fabrics, each with long or short sleeves.
This PDF sewing pattern, by Doreen Lynn Design, is designed to fit 18” dolls such as American Girl®.

- 15 x 45” for Long Sleeve Bodice and skirt OR
- 13 x 45” for Short Sleeve Bodice and skirt
Fabric for Two Fabric Version:
- 9 x 30” for Long Sleeve Bodice OR
- 9 x 26” for Short Sleeve Bodice
- 8 x 40” for Skirt
Fabric for Three Fabric Version:
- 9 x 30” for Long Sleeve Bodice OR
- 9 x 26” for Short Sleeve Bodice
- 8 x 20” for Skirt center back and 2 skirt panels
- 8 x 26” for 3 Skirt panels
Supplies Needed for all versions:
- Matching thread
- 5 inches double-sided 1/2 inch wide hook and loop tape, cut into two pieces 1/4 inch by 5 inches.
- 1/4 inch wide elastic:
- Short Sleeve Version:
- 21 inches – 11 inches for neckline and 10 inches cut into two 5 inch pieces.
- Long Sleeve Version :
- 18 1/2 inches -11 inches for neckline and 7 1/2 inches for sleeves cut into two 3 3/4 inch pieces.
- Size 3 sew on snap
- Hand sewing needle
