Lilibet Dress 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
With two lengths and three sleeves, the Lilibet dress is a very versatile pattern. This dress has princess seams that start at the shoulder and curve around the body slightly below the waist. The bottom has gentle gathers that begin at the point where the princess seam curves around the body. Add to that all sorts of options for trims and print combinations, and you could make this dress for almost any occasion. With short sleeves in a printed cotton, it would be a perfect spring dress. Make the long sleeved or bishop-sleeved tea length version in a fancy fabric, and the Christmas tree won’t be the only thing aglow at the holiday party. Do you love to look at the coordinating fat quarters of quilting fabric and dream of making something (but don’t want your doll to look like she is wearing a quilt)? Grab two coordinating fat quarters and make a cute multi-print dress. And here’s a great project for using trim, lace, and bias strips. Here’s a style where you can let your imagination run wild.

Recommended Fabrics: Quilter’s cotton, seersucker, batiste, crepe, satin, very lightweight denim, chambray, linen, silk dupioni, plisse, challis.

Single Fabric:
- Knee Length – 1/3 yard
- Tea Length – ½ yard
- Fat Quarters: 2 fat quarters
- Thread to match fabric
- Hook and loop tape, snaps, or buttons for closure
- Optional trim: 2/3 yard of lace, trim, or 1-inch wide bias for the princess seams; 1/3 yard of 1-inch wide bias if using contrasting bias for the bands of the bishop sleeves
