Ruffles and Glam 18″ Doll Machine Embroidery Design Set
Machine embroidery has never been more popular on clothing. Taking advantage of this exciting trend, the Ruffles and Glam©2021 Machine Embroidery Design Set by FROG Princess Fashions, features 12 unique designs, with thread options, and varying color combos, providing the Ruffles and Glam PDF sewing pattern a glamorous option for embellishment.
While butterflies are not unusual, creating one in the right scale for an 18” doll requires an eye for detail that doesn’t make the embroidery too stiff while maintaining the characteristics and design elements of a traditional, full-size motif. The butterflies in this design set are all digitized with these design principles in mind using professional digitizing software. This versatile set includes four types of beautiful butterflies: the first is a fill butterfly, suitable for use on center back of a woven or light interfaced knit design. The second is a redwork design, best used on a solid, lightweight woven fabric and cute as a purse front, the third is an appliqué, which is suitable for use on most fabrics, including interfaced knits, and the fourth is a free-standing lace design, which would be beautiful on a lace jacket, or made of a light thread on a dark solid woven. It would be especially stunning in a metallic thread. It may be machine stitched as a stand-alone design and hand-stitched to a specialty fabric as a patch, if desired, or simply stitched directly onto the fabric for an equally lovely result. All four back designs come sized to fit the 4×4 hoop, or with the back panel for perfect placement, fitting in the 5×7 hoop. The quilted sleeve designs require an 8×8 or 6×10 hoop. The butterfly charm fits a 4×4 hoop or smaller and includes a loop at the top for hanging.
Use one or several of these designs to embellish your jacket or other 18” doll garments and accessories. These designs would also be lovely embellishments on all types of accessories, including pillows, doll quilts, and stuffed furniture!
The beauty of the large jacket back designs is that they are centered on the pattern pieces, leaving out all guesswork in placement, for perfect results every time. No need to test-stitch on scraps, turning every which way to find the best layout, or repeatedly trying to place the designs yourself. This design set includes pattern piece outlines for perfect placement within the seam allowances. You may stitch the pattern piece outlines with thread, cutting directly on the thread outlines, or simply stitch around them without thread and cut on the needle piercings.
*Note: only the sleeve and jacket back panel piece are included in the machine embroidery design set.
