Make Flossie Potter’s realistic doll-size Sports & Dance Bag with BONUS ID Tag for your 18″ dolls. The cylindrical bag is lined and zips across the top so that nothing falls out. Two different strap lengths can be made to carry the bag either over the shoulder or across the chest.
And there’s even a bonus pattern for a miniature ID Tag!
The bag can be plain, or you can embellish it with appliques so your sister dolls will know which one is theirs!

Supplies Needed:
Sports & Dance Bag:
-1/3 yd of Sateen bottom-weight, heavy cotton, twill or similar fabric (or 12″ square remnant)
-1/3 yd of cotton lining fabric (or 12″ square remnant)
-For shoulder-length straps: 39 inches of 5/8″-wide woven twill tape
-For cross-chest straps: 1 ¼ yds of 5/8″ wide woven twill tape
-7-inch light-weight zipper (NOT separating)
ID Tag:
-3″ x 4″ remnant of faux leather or sparkly vinyl
3″ x 4″ piece of plastic
-3 ½ inches of 5/8″ hem tape OR 1/4″ double-fold bias tape
-Small snap
-13-mm Lobster Claw closure (optional)
-Large darning needle OR small hole punch
