The Lovely V-Waist Dress 18″ Doll Clothes Pattern
The Lovely V-Waist Dress by MyAngieGirl can be made sleeveless or with short sleeves. Features include a dropped “V” shaped waist, a sculpted and lined bodice, and two skirt lengths to choose from. The dress fastens in the back with three buttons or hook and loop fastener. Make this dress with a two-tone bodice and hem line then dress it up with ribbons, bows or embroidered embellishments. Embroidery designs are not included in this pattern.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18″ dolls such as American Girl®.
Suggested fabrics for the Lovely V-Waist Dress include cotton and blends, lightweight wovens, lightweight silks or taffeta, etc.
Supplies Needed:
- 1/4 Yard Fabric 44” wide for Dress
- 1/4 Yard Fabric 44” wide for Dress Contrast
- 9” x 18” Fabric for Lining
- 1 Yard Narrow Trim (Optional)
- 3 – 3/8” or 9mm Buttons or 4” Length 3/8” wide Sew-on Hook and Loop Tape
- Optional: Ribbon for bows — 1/4” to 5/8” wide (8”-10” per Bow), 12” Lace Edging or trim for sleeves
