Tri-City Knit Dress & Circle Leggings 15″ Baby Doll Clothes Pattern
Easy to sew, the Tri-City Knit Dress is a great pattern for your first knit outfit. A serger is not required. Detailed instructions and pictures guide you through each step. Soon your “little mommy’s” baby will be dressed in style.
The Tri-City Knit Dress has a curved empire waist for a flattering look and hook and loop tape or snaps in back. The PDF pattern includes 2 length variations (above the knee, and long shirt), and 3 sleeve length variations (long, three-quarter, and short). The Circle Leggings feature a patch on the rear, cuffs and elastic in the waist. Designed to fit 15″ baby dolls such as Bitty Baby® and Bitty Twin®, this pattern will also fit other 15″ baby style dolls.
It’s easy to create different looks by varying fabric, sleeve length, and skirt length. Cute leggings and headband complete the outfit. Choose a playful knit with contrasting solids, mix patterns or make with all one fabric. Lots of fun options are included!
Recommended Fabrics: Dress: Light to midweight knit fabrics, single or double knit, 5″ should stretch to 6″. Leggings and Cuffs: 2-way stretch knit, 4″ should stretch to 6″. Cuffs: ribbing can also be used.
Supplies Needed:
-Main fabric – ¼ yard
-Contrast fabric – ¼ yard
-If doing all one fabric, 1/2 yard of fabric required
-4 ½ ” of hook and loop tape or 4-5 snaps for Dress
-18″ of 3/8″ ribbon or lace (optional)
-11 ½” of ¼” elastic for leggings.
-Flower, bow, or button for front (optional)
-¼” double sided stay tape (optional, but really helpful)
-Thread
