What was washday like in the 1930s and 1940s? If you were lucky, you had a wringer washer; otherwise, you would boil water to wash your clothes! A dryer? Think again! Clothes were hung outside on a clothesline….better hope it doesn’t rain!
These washday accessories, by Eden Ava Couture, are a must for your 1930s or 1940s girl. The set includes a PDF pattern to make:
- An apron to protect her dress with deep pockets to hold essentials.
- A headwrap to keep her hair away from her face as she washes and hangs clothes.
- A laundry bag to hang on the line to hold her clothespins.

Skill Level: Intermediate (knowledge of Bias Tape Binding helpful)
